Traveling to Ischia from Naples

Please read carefully to find details on how to reach Ischia from Naples Airport and Central Train Station.

Possible routes from Airport or Central Station to Port Terminals

• From Airport: Take the ALIBUS shuttle bus (ALIBUS Naples) departing every 15 minutes (first at 5:30 AM, last at midnight). The ALIBUS stops at the airport arrival area and takes you directly to the Naples harbor. Alternatively, a taxi from the airport to the harbor is available at the fixed predetermined fare of €21 that must be requested in advance to the taxi driver.
• From Train Station: ALIBUS also serves the Naples Train Station (the ALIBUS stop is not outside the main station exit, but on the left side. You must take the exit “Corso Lucci” towards “Napoli Metropark Parking”). Frequency is 15 minutes, with the first departure at 5:10 AM and last at 11:00 PM. Alternatively, a taxi from the central station to the harbor is available at the fixed predetermined fare of €13 that must be requested in advance to the taxi driver.

Reaching Ischia from Naples Harbor:

Choose your ferry option based on speed and cost:

• Ferry: Departs from Immacolatella/Porta di Massa (second ALIBUS stop). Takes approximately 1 hour 30 minutes and costs around €13.
• Hydrofoil: Departs from Molo Angioino/Beverello (last ALIBUS stop). Offers a faster journey (around 50 minutes) but costs more (€26).

Reaching Hotel Continental Terme from Ischia Harbor:

There are three harbor stops on Ischia Island. You should aim for ISCHIA PORTO harbor stop, which is closest to the Conference hotel (1.5 km).

Free Shuttle Service (June 17th & 18th only):

For the conference dates of June 17th and 18th, a free shuttle service offered by SPEEDAM organization will run from ISCHIA PORTO to Hotel Continental Terme, coinciding with ferry/hydrofoil arrivals. On both days, we will guarantee the shuttle service from 10:00 AM to 9:00 PM. Look for a SPEEDAM hostess at Ischia Porto for assistance.

Alternative Options (any day):

• Public Bus: Take the CD (Circolare Destro) bus for €1.50.
• Taxi: This is the most convenient option, but pricing varies.
