Guided Tour for Accompanying Persons

Two guided tours have been organized for the accompanying persons of the Symposium participants. Both tours are scheduled on Thursday, June 20th 2024.
The tours are free of charge for registered Accompanying Persons. The cost for registered Symposium participants (either “Full” or “Student”) is € 80. The cost for other people is € 100.
Interested registered participants have to fill in the SPEEDAM 2024 Tour Resevation Form and send it to SPEEDAM Secretriat not later than June 12nd 2024.
It is mandatoty to enter, in the “Delegate Personal Information” field, the name with which the Symposium participant is registered at SPEEDAM 2024.
Accompanying Persons can be selected only if registered to SPEEDAM 2024. Symposium participants can register additional Accompanying Persons directly at the Conference Desk.
We remind that the Accompanying Person registration fee is € 250 and includes, beyond the guided tour, also one welcome cocktail ticket and one social dinner ticket.

Option 1: Guided tour of Aragonese Castle and La Mortella Gardens


In the morning, the participants will take a guided tour of La Mortella Gardens, an outstanding mediterranean and subtropical garden developed since 1956 by Lady Walton.
The visitors will then take the lunch at a typical restaurant at Ischia Ponte.

Finally, a guided tour to the wonderful and hystorical Aragonese Castle will conclude this unforgettable short trip.

– 9:15 Meeting point just outside the Hotel Continental Ischia
– 16:30 Return to the Hotel Continental Ischia

Option 2: Guided Vineyard tour with wine tasting and sightseeing


The tour will start with a guided visit to “Cantine Pietratorcia”, a hystorical wine production site founded in the 18th century by three Ischia families. The visit includes the local wines tasting and a light snack with typical finger food.

Visitors will then be taken to “Serrara Fontana Belvedere”, from which a heartbreaking view of the seaside can be enjoied.

Finally, the lunch will be served at “Cantine Calimera”, a 19th century cellar located in the ancient village of Calimera.
